While doing astrology consultations in a metaphysical bookstore many years ago, I picked up a deck of Tarot cards and started playing with them. The store, being what it was, had a great selection of books on the subject and I found myself getting very involved and fascinated with them. Later I took on the playing cards as well and found them just as interesting while giving a slightly different slant. I liked the way they stimulated the intuitive part of the brain and enjoyed the balance they provided to the more analytical approach necessary with astrology chart interpretations. I started reading them for myself and friends and family and eventually at fairs, conventions and finally for my astrology clients. While astrology is my main focus, I have incorporated card readings for my clients either with their astrology consultation or in a separate session. Cards are great for those times that you want some quick answers and can be read fairly frequently to access new information. They give us the details and color to fill in what we know about our longer term transits and cycles in our charts. They bring up the people in our lives and those that are coming. I am always amazed at what they pick up. Often they will pick up an influence or situation that does appear but we choose not to pursue that path. That is the free will we have in our decisions. There are times too that they simply seem to show us those fated situations that we appear to have no control over. How much of that comes under "creating our own realities" I don't know. I do know that we all love to get our cards read and when we use them in conjunction with our charts, we can gain some very valuable information.
